Wei Huang, 49, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, a citizen of Canada and formerly of China, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at McLaren-Central Michigan. Wei was born on July 2, 1968 in Wuhan, China, the son of Qingkui Huang and Tanyue Yin. On May 27, 1996, he married Linlan Xiao in Wuhan, China.
Wei was a student studying graphic design at Central Michigan University. He enjoyed music of all kinds, art, movies, traveling, cars, history, literiture, was a talented photographer, enjoyed technology, and was a very good cook. He was a military fan who enjoyed looking at various aspect of military culture.
A memorial service honoring Wei’s life will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Rowley Funeral Home at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Tom Weber officiating. Friends and family will gather from 2:30 pm until time of the service.
Survivors include his wife, Linlan Xiao, his son, Xiaoyi Huang, both parents, Qingkui Huang and Tanyue Yin of Canada and a sister, Ling Huang of Canada.
